4.5 Mega Watt Solar Power Plant under captive consumption
SolarMaxx is proud to announce its 4.5 Mega Watt Solar Power Project at Gajner, Bikaner. The pictures here show a glimpse of the work being undertaken from the beginning to the final commissioning of project on March 30th 2017. It is a one of its kind project in Rajasthan where the power produced at this plant will be used for captive consumption at 13 factories and sites located across Rajasthan. The plant will feed into the grid at Gajner and the factories can draw an equivalent amount of power from the grid through the open access mechanism.
This project near Bikaner, Rajasthan is spread across 16 acres of land. The useful life of a typical Solar Power plant is considered to be 25-30 years. This is the duration for which long-term PPAs are signed and financial models are built. However, Solar Power plants can run beyond this duration while producing a lower output.
With SolarMaxx Solar PV Panels we guarantee an output of 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years. Prompt service and good quality material is our prime moto. The usual benchmark for energy generated from a 1 MW Solar Power plant is considered as 1.5 Million units. Quality being our prime moto at SolarMaxx we have used high efficiency, amongst the best in the world ABB inverters and transformers to ensure optimum output on daily basis. Considering the life of the project at 25 year and beyond, components have been chosen with utmost care to ensure such longevity.”
Such a solar power project is most suitable when factories, establishments, etc do not have adequate rooftop space to fulfill their power requirements. An investment in solar energy for production of power for own use usually offers an attractive return on investment ranging over a period of 4 to 5 yrs. This means that after this duration, the power that is produced is virtually free from any cost or investment leading to generation of free energy for over 2 decades.
