Saurabh Bhandari
Founder, SolarMaxx
SolarMaxx was founded by Saurabh Bhandari, a visionary entrepreneur dedicated to creating a sustainable future. Saurabh’s journey began after returning from Switzerland with a deep-rooted commitment to combat global warming through renewable energy solutions.
A commerce graduate from Rajasthan University, Saurabh enhanced his management expertise at ISB (Indian School of Business) and pursued further executive education in the recent years at Wharton, Harvard Business School, and London Business School. His international career spans roles at UBS in Switzerland, marketing and sales in Manchester, England, and strategic engagements across India and Hungary.
Inspired by a local milk vendor’s idea, SolarMaxx started by distributing solar lamps in rural India, evolving into a leader in solar energy equipment. Today, SolarMaxx is synonymous with innovation and holds a prominent market share in the region.
Saurabh’s dedication extends beyond business; he was an active member of AIESEC in his youth and now contributes to organizations like Round Table India, CII and Entrepreneurs Organization. In February 2018, Saurabh addressed at the India Conference at Harvard Business School in a panel discussion on ‘Adapting to the changing energy landscape’.
Driven by a passion for environmental preservation, Saurabh continues to advocate for sustainable living through awareness programs and industry leadership. Beyond business, he enjoys golfing, road tripping, and trekking, embodying a balanced life philosophy.
